Ch. Nanjay's Passport - "Ticket"

The most difficult thing about finishing Ticket's Canadian Championship (which she did quickly as a senior puppy) was keeping her dry and out of the pool long enough to show her! Ticket would spend hours a day in her large wading pool and would always entice all of the other Springers in for a dip and a play session. Ticket was an influential part of our Nanjay bloodlines, producing six Canadian Champions and one American Champion.

Can/Am Ch. Nanjay's Noteworthy - "Norbert"

Pictured here, Norbert is earning a BPIS (Best Puppy In Show) and BB (Best of Breed) from the senior puppy class. He finished his Canadian Championship very quickly as a puppy, earning several BPIG (Best Puppy In Group) and BB (Best of Breeds) along the way, as well as some nice specialty wins (and his tail never stopped wagging the entire time!) Norbert was a special puppy, with his attitude and sweet disposition and one of his favourite things to do was sit with my son (who was only a year older than Norbert), so he made the decision for me; Norbert became a "forever dog" and was my son's constant companion.

Norbert finished his American championship in great style, being shown five days in the U.S., and coming home with four four-point majors, at specialties and support shows. My young son quickly informed me that I could no longer "borrow" Norbert for the shows ... as "it was lonely sleeping with only one dog", so Norbert was only shown occasionally. He spent most of his time as my son's constant buddy -- whether sleeping on his bed or participating in his favourite pastime -- chasing bubbles. Norbert is the sire of several champions.
Norbert won Best in Veteran Sweepstakes at the 2003 English Springer Spaniel Club of Canada's National Specialty Show & Trial held in Nepean Ontario on May 3, 2003, at 9 years of age. (Sadly Norbert crossed the Rainbow Bridge in December 2005 at 12½.)

In the Candle's Glow
Warm light coming from far below,
Twinkling, sparkling is the candle's glow.
All is well up on the ridge,
The place we know as Rainbow Bridge.
Furbabies sleeping in heaven's light,
Tended by candles in the night.
Peaceful dreams be theirs to keep,
As they slumber in this night so deep.

Ch. Nanjay's Joe Cool - "Joey"
Breeder: Nanci J. Footitt
Owners: Ed & Ineke Roete
Joey, like his litter sister Sophie, finished his Championship quickly as an adult. He was as exuberant as a senior as he was as a puppy. His love of life and sense of humour kept his family, Ed & Ineke Roete laughing all of the time. When he was not at the feet of his owners, he was in his back garden on "squirrel watch" or playing with his sister, "Tootsie". (Sadly Joey crossed the Rainbow Bridge in November 2006.)
