Ch. Nanjay's Celebrity - "Quincy"

Quincy was a handsome black and white boy owned by Tina and Terry Rose. He finished his Canadian Championship effortlessly, against stiff competition. Quincy and Courtney (Ch. Nanjay's Celebration CD) were littermates, (from a litter of three) and were Miss Amanda's last puppies. This is one of my favourite portraits, as it presents a beautfiul spaniel head and expression, something that I have always tried to preserve in Nanjay bloodlines.

Ch. Nanjay's Celebration CD - "Courtney"

Courtney is pictured here, at the tender age of six months in one of her first shows. Courtney was a BPIS (Best Puppy In Show) winner and finished quickly as a junior puppy. Courtney was a vital part of the Nanjay breeding program and can be found in most present Nanjay pedigrees, as well as being the dam of five Canadian Champions. Carol and Courtney had lots of fun in obedience, and earned her CD (Companion Dog) title with no effort. But most importantly, Courtney spent her life as a cherished companion to Carol Yates and family (Whiteoaks Springers) and could always be found near her two favourite children, Catherine and Ryan.
Tribute To A Best Friend
Sunlight streams through window pane
unto a spot on the floor....
then I remember,
it's where you used to lie,
but now you are no more.
Our feet walk down a hall of carpet,
and muted echoes sound....
then I remember,
It's where your paws would joyously abound.
A voice is heard along the road,
and up beyond the hill,
then I remember it can't be yours....
your golden voice is still.
But I'll take that vacant spot of floor
and empty muted hall
and lay them with the absent voice
and unused dish along the wall.
I'll wrap these treasured memorials
in a blanket of my love
and keep them for my best friend
until we meet above.

Ch. Springhunt's Simply Smashing - "Whiskey"

Whiskey was purchased from Marjorie Robson as I wished to add Ch. Nanjay's Addition to Springhunt ("Moustache") to my breeding program, and what better way than attaining her daughter? Whiskey completed her Canadian Championship with ease as an adult and spent her life as the beloved companion to Alex and Anne Lawrence. Like her mother, she appreciated luxury (such as the couch!). Whiskey was the dam of three Champions.
